CONCURSO INTERNACIONAL UNIVERSITARIO DE PROGRAMACIÓN (ICPC)
CONCURSOS REGIONALES LATINOAMERICANOS ICPC 2019 - FINAL CARIBEÑA (SEDE CUBANA)
Descripción de actividades

INSCRIPCIÓN EN LA SEDE

En esta actividad se verifica, mediante Carné o Pasaporte, la identidad de los participantes (concursantes, entrenadores e invitados). Cada extranjero paga por servicios recibidos y obtiene la correspondiente factura. Los participantes reciben el paquete de inscripción, una foto oficial es tomada a cada equipo y se realizan entrevistas para la Televisión.

CEREMONIA DE INAUGURACIÓN

En esta actividad se reconocen a las personas y áreas/entidades que más se destacaron en la organización de la Sede Cubana de la Final Caribeña 2019 del ICPC. Artistas aficionados deleitan con números culturales, dirigentes hacen intervenciones y se presentan a los equipos participantes. Además se aprovecha la ocasión para reconocer a los ganadores de la Final Cubana 2019 del ICPC (Concurso Nacional) y de la IV Liga Cubana de Programación (LCP).

II TALLER CARIBEÑO DE ALGORITMOS "TCA"

Los estudiantes-concursantes de los equipos participantes en la Sede Cubana de la Final Caribeña 2019 del ICPC tendrán la posibilidad de realizar disertaciones sobre algoritmos. Este espacio pretende ampliar las oportunidades de socialización e intercambio en torno a los algoritmos, especialmente aquellos que son más usados en la Programación Competitiva.

VIII TORNEO CARIBEÑO DE AJEDREZ "ICPCHESS"

En esta actividad los equipos representan a sus instituciones en otra "batalla": el juego ciencia. Es una excelente oportunidad para que los participantes continúen socializando y confraternizando.

IX TALLER CARIBEÑO DE APRENDIZAJE COLABORATIVO

En esta actividad se presentan trabajos científicos que inciden directamente en el campo de los concursos de programación (ICPC, IOI, etc.) y el Aprendizaje Colaborativo. Los mejores trabajos serán propuestos para publicación en la Revista Cubana de Ciencias Informáticas (RCCI) y para presentación en el Simposio de Aprendizaje Colaborativo que se efectuará en el marco de la Final Mundial 2020 del ICPC en Moscú, Rusia.

CONCURSO DE PRÁCTICA

En esta actividad los concursantes se familiarizan con el entorno de competencia (configuraciones de hardware y software, dinámica del concurso, etc.). Es el momento idóneo para que los equipos aclaren todas sus dudas respecto a dicho entorno. Típicamente se presenta un conjunto de dos o tres problemas descritos en idioma inglés y de bajas complejidades. La tabla de posiciones de este concurso no influye en la determinación de los ganadores del concurso regional.

X REUNIÓN CARIBEÑA DE LÍDERES ICPC

En esta actividad se reúnen líderes del ICPC de nuestra área para intercambiar experiencias, reconocer el trabajo realizado, recibir capacitación, abordar temas de interés y aprobar reglas.

CONCURSO REAL

En esta actividad los equipos compiten para definir los ganadores del concurso regional y los clasificados a la Final Mundial. Típicamente se presenta un conjunto de entre 9 y 12 problemas descritos en idioma inglés y de variadas complejidades.

VII TORNEO CARIBEÑO DE JUGADORES VIRTUALES "ICPCHALLENGE"

En esta actividad los equipos representan a sus instituciones en otra "batalla": esta vez en un Torneo de Jugadores Virtuales muy similar al ICPC Challenge que se efectuó en las finales mundiales. Es una excelente oportunidad para que los participantes continúen socializando y confraternizando.

CEREMONIA DE CLAUSURA Y PREMIACIONES

En esta actividad se presenta una breve relatoría del concurso regional, intervienen dirigentes, se disfruta de momentos culturales y se reconocen a los equipos ganadores.

THE INTERNATIONAL COLLEGIATE PROGRAMMING CONTEST (ICPC)
THE 2019 ICPC LATIN-AMERICAN REGIONAL CONTESTS - CARIBBEAN FINALS (CUBAN SITE)
Description of Activities

ON-SITE REGISTRATION

The identity of participants (contestants, coaches and guests) is verified via their Identity Cards or Passports. Each foreigner pays by services received and gets the corresponding receipt. Participants also receive the registration package, an official photo is taken to each team, and interviews for the Television are made.

OPENING CEREMONY

Recognition to distinguished people and entities involved in the organization of the Cuban Site of the 2019 ICPC Caribbean Finals. It includes cultural numbers by local artists, speeches by institutional directives and the presentation of the participating teams. The opportunity is also used to recognize the winners of The 2019 ICPC Cuban Finals (National Contest) and The 4th Cuban Programming League (LCP by its acronym in Spanish).

THE 2ND CARIBBEAN WORKSHOP ON ALGORITHMS "CWA"

The contestants (students) of the teams participating in the Cuban Site of the 2019 ICPC Caribbean Finals will have the opportunity of doing dissertations on algorithms. This space aims to expand the opportunities for socialization and exchange around algorithms, especially those that are most used in Competitive Programming.

THE 8TH CARIBBEAN CHESS TOURNAMENT "ICPCHESS"

The teams represent their institutions in another "battle": chess. This is an excellent opportunity for the participants to continue socializing and bonding with each other.

THE 9TH CARIBBEAN WORKSHOP ON COLLABORATIVE LEARNING

In this workshop the participants present scientific papers with direct incidence in the field of programming contests (ICPC, IOI, etc.) and Collaborative Learning. The best works will be pushed forward for publication in the Cuban Magazine of Informatics Sciences (RCCI by its acronym in Spanish) and for presentation in The 2020 ICPC World Finals in Moscow, Russia.

PRACTICE CONTEST

Contestants have the chance to familiarize themselves with the competition environment (hardware and software configurations, contest dynamics, etc.). This is the perfect moment for the teams to clear their doubts regarding the environment. Typically a problem set consisting of two or three low difficulty problems is presented in English. The scoreboard of this contest does not influence the winners of the regional contest in any way.

THE 10TH CARIBBEAN MEETING OF ICPC LEADERS

The leaders of the ICPC in our region gather to exchange experiences, acknowledge the work done, receive training, discuss subjects of common interest and approve rules.

REAL CONTEST

Teams compete to define the winners of the regional contest and the team qualified to the World Finals. Typically a problem set of 9 to 12 problems of varied complexity is presented in the English language.

THE 7TH CARIBBEAN TOURNAMENT OF VIRTUAL PLAYERS "ICPCHALLENGE"

The teams represent their institutions in another "battle": This time in a Virtual Players Tournament very similar to the ICPC Challenge which took places in the World Finals. This is an excellent opportunity for the participants to continue socializing and bonding with each other.

AWARD AND CLOSING CEREMONY

This activity presents a brief recount of the regional contest. It contains speeches by organization directives, cultural activities and the recognition of the winner teams.
